The Prince and Princess of Wales are often treated by their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, who team up for the sweetest activity together
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will often team up to treat their proud parents, and it’s so thoughtful.
It’s no secret that the Wales children enjoy a number of different hobbies. Prince George is a big fan of rugby, football, and triathlons, to name a few, while his younger sister Princess Charlotte has a love of ballet, tap dance, and gymnastics. Prince Louis, meanwhile, is said to be green-fingered and has a love of the outdoors and gardening.
But when they are back at home, the siblings will unite for a very special reason – cooking for William and Kate.
Kate is known to have a fondness for cooking, with royal writer Katie Nicholl revealing in 2010 that the Princess likes to make her husband Prince William’s favourite meal. She said: “In the evenings, she indulges her hobby of cooking William’s favourite supper, roast chicken. That’s their idea of the perfect night.”
And it seems her children are following suit. After she visited Lavender Primary School in Enfield in 2019, teacher Matthew Kleiner-Mann told People Magazine that the Princess had discussed how she loves to cook with her children.
He said: “She was telling us how much her children love cooking and how they cook for her. They made cheesy pasta the other day. One stirs the flour, one puts the milk and butter in. And they make salads and stuff.”
William and Kate are known to enjoy a wide range of foods, including sushi and curries. When she was seven months pregnant with Prince George, Kate enjoyed a homemade vegetable dish cooked by Indian couple Chan Shingadia and her husband Hash, who ran the Spar shop near her home in Berkshire at the time.
And she has previously confirmed she is a fan of spicy food – although she revealed ahead of her royal tour of India with Prince William that unlike her, her husband “struggles” with spices.
Homemade, delicious food is clearly important to Kate, but she also enjoys making sweet treats for her family, too. It’s tradition for her to stay up late on the eve of her children’s birthdays to bake a special cake for them.
In A Berry Royal Christmas, Kate told Mary Berry: “I love making the cake. It’s become a bit of a tradition that I stay up ’til midnight with ridiculous amounts of cake mix and icing and I make far too much. But I love it.”
